Patricia L. Plount

Since the age of 10 Patte has been riding, breeding training and working with horses. It was not until 1978 that she was able to purchase her own horses. She then took on the daunting task, of breeding and training, a young Tennessee Walking Horse by the name of Dortia Marie. Dorita soon had a colt, whom she named Whiskey's Black Velvet. They enjoyed showing in both circuit and non circuit shows until life got in the way. In 1985 Patte, her son Bill a cat named Shilo and Whiskey relocated to Florida . Patte had the horse life many young girls dream of having.

In 2006, because of Patte's extensive 38 years of horse background, she was asked by Dr. Darlene Williams if she would be interested in joining her in a new modality of therapy involving horses called: EAGALA. Thus Patte agreed and went through a certification process. Soon thereafter she and her Service Dog, Lil' Bear (who was trained to handle PTSD and other disorders) became a part of the team.
